Anyone wishing to participate in prayer shawl group is invited to meet together socially distanced in the small chapel at Peace on Thursday, October 1st, 2020 at 1:30 pm.  Knitting and crocheting of prayer shawls will be done together with participants spaced 6 feet apart.  Masks are required.  Yarn is supplied but bring your own hooks or needles. All are welcome!

If you wish to knit or crochet a shawl, contact Nurse Marsha nursmarsha@peacelc.org for instructions and supplies.

Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group formed to knit and crochet Prayer Shawls to be given to those we want to support with prayers, such as parishioners who are shut-ins or those who are ill or facing surgery.  As prayer shawls are made, prayers are said and woven into the texture of the shawl, so that when worn, the strength, support, and prayers are felt by the wearer.

The Prayer Shawl Group meets the first Thursday of each month, 1:30 pm at Peace Lutheran Church.  Patterns and materials are provided for anyone who would like to join in this ministry.  Don’t crochet or knit?  Attend a meeting and learn from another member of the group!
